24 hours in Kedah, Malaysia

We made a trip to Kedah last week, to attend a friend’s wedding. We left after work on Saturday evening, and reached only at 11.00pm. Took us 5 hours due to jam and road accidents. We managed to book this really beautiful boutique hotel on Airbnb, it looked very pleasant compared to the other places available. The receptionist told us prior that we have to reach by 10.00pm latest, but we were stuck in jam for so long that we only made it at 11.00pm. She was so accommodating and stayed until we reached. She even brought us to a nearby cafe for dinner as we were rushing and couldn’t stop anywhere for dinner! 🍽

Terrace 48 @ Chinatown, Alor Setar

We ended up having dinner at Terrace 48, a quaint bar in the heart of Chinatown, Alor  Setar. It was like a minute walk from 38PC.
Since it was a Saturday night, it was very happening with lots of people and good songs! The waiters and managers were so friendly to everyone, it was all good vibes! 🎢

The hotel we stayed in had free breakfast, so we had nasi lemak and some juice πŸ₯€
They had other options too like cereal with milk and appam.

This hotel also serves free old school snacks that we use to buy from the Roti Man in our younger days! (90s kids ftw)

You can pick any of these snacks at any time of the day for free 🀀

Free flow of drinks!

38 PC has their own swimming pool 🏊‍♂️ at the rooftop area, and we woke up early on Sunday morning to check it out. But it was quite hot for a swim, so we ended up taking some pictures instead.  The view overlooks the famous Menara Alor Setar.

We checked out from the hotel around 1.00pm after the wedding, and Sharviind wanted to check out the Wat Nikrodharam Siamese
Temple in Alor Setar town. It’s a beautiful temple with Thai and Chinese motives.... I especially loved the bright colours and beautiful statues.

We had to stop for some doughnuts  πŸ© for the road trip back to KL. J.CO doughnuts are the best! ❤️

The journey back took us 8 hours thanks to jam and some accidents! Crazy! But we still had a good time xx. 😘

Thanks for reading once again! 😍😘

The Swimming Club @ The KL Journal

Was feelin’ under the weather for the past few days, so Sharviind and I decided to go to the Swimming Club @ the KL Journal for a chilled day.
I have been wanting to go there for quite some time now as it reminded me of the beach clubs in Bali!
They have pink walls and colourful furniture, with an infinity pool overlooking the gorgeous
KL city centre, what more can I ask for 😍😍

We went about 12.00pm, weather was just nice! And they have closed areas with fans as well, so it wasn’t too hot πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ˜Ž

We weren’t too hungry, so we had a Fruit Punch and fried baby shrimps as snacks, also Sharviind
was saving space for Chicken Shawarma from Damascus IN!

More Photos taken by Sharviind 😍

Infinity pool with a gorgeous view of the city 🀩

Christmas vibes πŸŽ„

Finally a selfie of us 🀳😍

Thanks for reading! We had a good day, hope you did too xoxo πŸ’‹
